Walt Churchill’s Market

WHAT DO YOU LIKE ABOUT DOING BUSINESS IN OHIO?

Ohio is a key agricultural State that allows us to be close to our farms, our farmers, and other sources of premium, fresh and locally grown or produced items. Ohio is our home and that gives us the opportunity to reinvest in our communities, create jobs, and contribute to our local economy.

DESCRIPTION OF BUSINESS:

Churchill’s is a multi-generational grocery business celebrating more than 100 years in the Toledo area. In 1937, Walt Churchill Sr. “The General” (Major General U.S.M.C.) bought out his father and took possession of the family business. The company flourished under his direction until his death in 1998. After serving his own decorated 30 year career in the Marines, Walt Churchill Jr. helped his father run and expand the business, assuming control after his passing.

Walt eventually bought out existing partnerships and rebranded the business as “Walt Churchill’s Market," featuring gourmet products, specialty items, and homemade, fresh baked, premium foods. Not to be missed are the weekly wine tastings, in-store smokehouse and sausage kitchen, custom quality meats and daily chef created prepared meals, sushi and homemade soups. Fresh seafood is flown in several times a week from the east coast, and the choicest produce is locally sourced from area farms and markets to provide the very best the seasons have to offer. Walt Churchill’s Market proudly supports local farmers, growers and producers of the finest quality products in Ohio.
