DESCRIPTION OF BUSINESS:
AMP Electric Vehicles (OTCBB: AMPD) is a public company that was established in 2007 as a developmental-stage vehicle electrification company with the vision of enabling Americans to enjoy the electric vehicle experience. AMP first experimented with two-seat roadsters. In 2009/2010, Progressive Insurance sponsored a rigorous nationwide competition for clean, "production-capable" vehicles. The competition included the involvement of the Department of Energy and Consumer Reports in the qualifying rounds. There were 100+ participants competing and AMP was one of five finalists in the Side-by-Side seating category.
AMP then began to successfully convert ML350s, Chevrolet Equinoxes and Jeep Grand Cherokees to all electric power. With that accomplished, AMP began to design 100 percent electric vehicles power trains for larger vehicles as it saw the opportunity to provide American fleet companies with technology that would reduce operating costs and lower our dependence on fossil fuel.
AMP has successfully accomplished the development and implementation of all-electric, zero-emission power trains and is now in the process of repowering existing medium duty vehicles and adding its electric drive train to new chassis for fleet customers.
