Georgetown Marble and Granite Company

WHAT DO YOU LIKE ABOUT DOING BUSINESS IN OHIO?

We have been serving Southwest Ohio’s memorial needs for 110 years. We appreciate the opportunity to help families find closure during a difficult time in their lives. Ohio has provided us a place to keep our business running through four generations.

DESCRIPTION OF BUSINESS:

J. Kelly Heslar is the owner of the Georgetown Marble and Granite Company. They are a fourth generation, family-owned business, started in 1908, by Kelly’s great grandfather E. H. Kennedy. Kelly’s grandfather, Earl Heslar, acquired the business in 1947 from his father-in-law, E. H. Kennedy. Kelly’s father, James E. Heslar, acquired the business in 1976 from his father. In 2004, Kelly joined the business and in 2015 purchased the business from his father.

The Georgetown Marble and Granite Company is the oldest family-owned business in Brown County, Ohio. They are a full service monument company offering monuments, markers, mausoleums, benches, bronze and cemetery lettering. They also provide public memorials for veterans, parks, schools, churches, towns and businesses. They have an indoor showroom with over 100 monuments on display, as well as their own laser machine allowing them the ability to provide in house laser etchings. Times have certainly changed since 1908, but Kelly, strives to ensure the same quality and service that the business was founded upon by his great grandfather.
