Vocalink

WHAT DO YOU LIKE ABOUT DOING BUSINESS IN OHIO?

Ohio truly is "the heart of it all” with so many thriving businesses with increasingly global needs. Vocalink’s mission is making communication with the world easy in any language, so it’s perfect.

DESCRIPTION OF BUSINESS:

In 1995, Peruvian-born Amelia Rodriguez founded her global interpreting and translation firm, Vocalink, in Dayton. Her passion is the importance of being heard and understood in situations ranging from casual social interactions, to business deals, and international crises.

Consistently ranked as a top-ten growth industry, Vocalink’s pledge to make communication with the world easy in any language has allowed them to mirror this trend—growing to over 4,000 linguists and offices on three continents.

Vocalink earned membership in the National Minority Supplier Development Council’s Corporate Plus® program in 2013; a coveted designation among minority businesses that have demonstrated their capacity to successfully execute national contracts for major corporations. Additionally, Amelia led her company to winning the NMSDC Class II Supplier of the Year award in 2012.

Vocalink continues to serve an impressive roster of business-to-business clients, but Amelia has her sights set on aggressive future growth with a focus on innovative use of technology to enhance her clients’ experience.
