The amount of support, compassion and dedication from the people of Ohio has been overwhelming! Free to Smile is supported by numerous individuals and corporations based both in Ohio and beyond.
Description of business:Free to Smile provides free cleft lip and palate surgeries and dental care. They currently serve Guatemala, Cambodia, Tibet, Niger and Ethiopia. They partner with organizations in each country to care for patients and ensure they are monitored after we leave. They return to their sites annually to provide comprehensive care for their patients and train and provide education to local doctors and nurses, as well as residents from U.S. programs.
All Free to Smile donations go directly to patient care. Volunteers pay their own airfare and in-country costs. Volunteers range in age and professions and include surgeons, anesthesiologists, nurses, dentists, hygienists, assistants, translators, photographers, and administrators.
