It’s exciting to watch the resurgence of economic development in downtown Toledo. The State has been a good partner in the development of the ballpark and Hensville, as well as other downtown projects.

DESCRIPTION OF BUSINESS:

Toledo has a rich hockey tradition dating back to the 1940’s and the Walleye became part of that history in 2009. The team is affiliated with both the Grand Rapids Griffins (AHL) and Detroit Red Wings (NHL). The Walleye play in downtown Toledo at the Huntington Center. One of the most recognized Toledo Hockey alumni is Mike Eruzione who was the captain of the gold-medal winning 1980 U.S.A. Olympic team. Other notables include: Claude Noel, Dirk Graham, Lorne Mollenken.
