Cleveland Indians

WHAT DO YOU LIKE ABOUT DOING BUSINESS IN OHIO?

Ohio is a loyal sports state that cares about the history and the future of the organization. Our fans are some of the best in baseball and some of the most dedicated in the country.

DESCRIPTION OF BUSINESS:

As a charter member of the American League, the Indians have a rich history that dates back to 1901, including two World Series Championships in 1920 and 1948, and six American League Pennants. The Tribe has been dominant on the field under Terry Francona, winning the American League Pennant in 2016 and the American League Central in 2017. To go along with the Division Championship in 2017, the Indians strung together 22 straight wins to set an A.L. record in the Modern Era. This year, Jim Thome will be enshrined in the Hall of Fame as a first-ballot Hall of Famer. He joins Bob Feller as the second Indian to be a first-balloter and joins 12 other players who have donned the Indians uniform.

Cleveland Indians Charities (CIC) supports a number of different initiatives around the State of Ohio and prides itself on being a staple in the community. The Tribe utilizes baseball to strengthen youth through service initiatives that focus on education, health and fitness; including fundraising for local non-profits, education, youth baseball and field improvements.
