Airstream, Inc

WHAT DO YOU LIKE ABOUT DOING BUSINESS IN OHIO?

State programs and an advantageous tax structure make Ohio a business-friendly environment. These benefits combined with a highly skilled and dedicated workforce make the perfect fit.

DESCRIPTION OF BUSINESS:

Airstream was founded by entrepreneur Wallace Merle Byam (Wally) born on the 4th of July, 1896. In 1952, Mr. Byam sought to build an Airstream plant in the eastern United States close to vendors. Utilizing local businesses such as a lumber company and casting company, the business thrived in Jackson Center, Ohio.

Surviving aluminum shortages, oil crises and economic downturns, Airstream continues as the oldest RV manufacturer in the US. And, our silver is green - durable Airstreams are passed down for generations and 60-70 percent of all Airstream units manufactured are still on the road – not in landfills.

Airstream owners wander the world over, broadening horizons and spreading international goodwill. Yet, still today, Airstreams are proudly made only in west central Ohio. A wanderlust, and a practical, responsible work ethic typical of Ohio artisans and craftspeople is what we believe will keep Airstream moving forward well into the future not only domestically but internationally.

Today's line includes the Sport; Flying Cloud; International Serenity, Signature, and Sterling; Eddie Bauer; and Classic Travel Trailers and the Interstate Touring Coach.
