Ohio Military Votes Update, April 6, 2018


Dear Military and Overseas Voters:

The May 8, 2018 Primary Election is just around the corner.

If you are eligible to but have not already registered to vote, Monday,
April 9th is the voter registration deadline.
Please note that if you are not registered to vote in Ohio by this day, you will NOT be able to vote in the May 8, 2018 Primary Election.

The ballot will contain candidates for nomination and election, one statewide issue and local questions and issues.

Register to Vote and Request an Absentee Ballot by Completing the FPCA Form
1. Fill out the Federal Post Card Application (FPCA) to register to vote and to request your ballot. It is a dual-purpose form. You can access the FPCA form here https://www.fvap.gov/uploads/FVAP/Forms/fpca.pdf or use the Ohio automated assistant available here https://ohio.overseasvotefoundation.org/vote/home.htm to complete the form.

2. Simply, fill it out, print it and sign it. If you plan to email your form, scan it or take a picture of it.

3. Return the FPCA to the Ohio Secretary of State's office by email, fax or mail.

Email is the quickest way! Submitting your FPCA via email and requesting that your ballot be emailed to you is strongly recommended.


  • If you are registering to vote or updating your voter registration information, a properly completed FPCA must be postmarked or received by Monday, April 9, 2018.
  • If you are already registered to vote at the correct address and you just need to request your absentee ballot, your FPCA must be received by 12:00 noon on Saturday, May 5, 2018.
