Ohio Military Votes Update: March 15, 2017
Dear Military Members and Overseas Voters:
The May 2, 2017 Primary/Special Election is just around the corner!
Ballots for military and overseas voters will be sent out starting March 18, 2017. If you have not done so already, please remember to submit your Federal Post Card Application (FPCA) for all elections in 2017. If you filled out the FPCA form in 2016, you must submit a new form for 2017.
Completing the FPCA Form:
1. Fill out the Federal Post Card Application (FPCA) to request your ballot. You can access the FPCA form available here: https://www.fvap.gov/eo/overview/materials/forms or use the Ohio automated assistant available here: https://ohio.overseasvotefoundation.org/vote/home.htm to complete the form.
2. Simply, fill it out, print and sign the form. If you plan to email your form, scan it or take a picture of it.
3. Return the FPCA to the Ohio Secretary of State's office by email, fax or mail. Remember your properly completed registration form must be postmarked or received by April 3, 2017.

Email is the quickest way! Submitting your FPCA via email and requesting that your ballot be emailed to you is strongly recommended.
What is on the Ballot?
This year’s primary ballot will include local candidates and issues, though not all counties will have a primary election this year. To see if there is a primary/special election in your county, please visit: https://www.sos.state.oh.us/sos/elections/electionsofficials/boeDirectory.aspx#dir for a link to your county board of election's website.

April 3, 2017 – Voter registration deadline for the May 2, 2017 Primary/Special Election
April 29, 2017 – Deadline to request an absentee ballot for May 2, 2017 Primary/Special Election is at 12:00 noon
May 2, 2017 – Primary/Special Election Day
Watch your inbox and track the status of your ballot
As a military or overseas voter, you may receive your absentee ballot by email, fax or mail. Check the status of your ballot by visiting www.MyOhioVote.com.
If you need to talk to someone at your county board of elections who processed your ballot request, please visit http://www.sos.state.oh.us/sos/elections/electionsofficials/boeDirectory.aspx#dir for contact information for the board of elections in your county.
