The Committee expects to receive testimony on the process for collecting bids for voting systems and the procurement process from the Ohio Department of Administrative Services (DAS). The Committee also expects to receive testimony on the funding program and what expenses are covered under the program from the Ohio Office of Budget and Management (OBM).

Please be advised that the Voting Machine Acquisition Advisory Committee is a temporary committee that has been formed pursuant to Am. Sub. Senate Bill 135 (132nd Ohio General Assembly), the Voting Equipment Acquisition Program. As outlined in Am. Sub. Senate Bill 135, the Committee must meet at the call of the Ohio Secretary of State “to advise the Secretary of State and Department of Administrative Services in the acquisition and funding of new voting systems, as approved by the Board of Voting Machine Examiners under section 3506.06 of the Revised Code, for Ohio counties.”
