Secretary Husted Announces Meeting of the Ohio Board of Voting Machine Examiners

COLUMBUS – Ohio Secretary of State Jon Husted today announced a meeting of the Ohio Board of Voting Machine Examiners will convene on Friday, July 13, 2018 at 10:00 a.m. The meeting will be held at the Secretary of State's Office on the 17th floor in the Large Conference Room of the Continental Plaza Building at 180 East Broad Street, Columbus, Ohio 43215.

The agenda includes:

  • Review of the application for certification of a remote ballot marking system submitted by Triad Governmental Systems, Inc., for certification and approval for use in Ohio.
  • Review of the application for certification of a remote ballot marking system, Alternate Format Ballot, submitted by Five Cedars Group, Inc., for expanded certification and approval for use in Ohio.
  • Review of the application for certification of Prime III, a remote ballot marking system submitted by the University of Florida, for expanded certification and approval for use in Ohio.

This meeting of the board is open to the public.

Board Members: Jeffrey A. Matthews (Chair; Director, Stark County Board of Elections), Joyce Kale-Pesta (Director, Mahoning County Board of Elections), Shawn Stevens (Member, Delaware County Board of Elections) and William Anthony Jr.
