Secretary Husted Announces Meeting of the Ohio Board of Voting Machine Examiners

COLUMBUS – Ohio Secretary of State Jon Husted today announced a meeting of the Ohio Board of Voting Machine Examiners will be held on Friday, May 18, 2018 at 10:00 a.m. The meeting will be held at the Secretary of State's Office on both the 15th and 17th floors in the Large Conference Rooms of the Continental Plaza Building at 180 East Broad Street, Columbus, Ohio 43215.

The agenda includes:

  • Review of the application for certification of a remote ballot marking system, Prime III, submitted by the University of Florida, for certification and approval for use in Ohio. This examination will be conducted in the 17th Floor Large Conference Room.
  • Review of the application for certification of the EVS 6.0.0.0 Voting System, a series of modifications to the EVS 5.2.2.0 and 5.4.0.0 Voting Systems (submitted by Election Systems & Software) and examination of the voting system for certification and approval for use in Ohio elections. This examination will be conducted in the 15th Floor Large Conference Room.
  • Review of the application for certification of a remote ballot marking system submitted by KNOWiNK for certification and approval for use in Ohio. This examination will be conducted in the 17th Floor Large Conference Room.
  • Review of the application for certification of a remote ballot marking system, Alternate Format Ballot, submitted by Five Cedars Group, Inc., for certification and approval for use in Ohio in counties that utilize Global Election Management System (GEMS). This examination will be conducted in the 17th Floor Large Conference Room.

This meeting of the board is open to the public.
