Husted Sets Order for 2017 Statewide Ballot Issues

COLUMBUS – Secretary of State Jon Husted today announced the order of the two statewide issues that will appear on the 2017 General Election ballot. Pursuant to Section 3505.06 of the Ohio Revised Code, the Secretary of State maintains the authority to determine the order by which issues will appear on the statewide ballot.

  • Issue 1: Ohio crime victims proposed initiated constitutional amendment
  • Issue 2: Ohio prescription drug proposed initiated statute  

Pursuant to Section 3501.05 of the Ohio Revised Code, Secretary Husted will release the official titles of both issues at a later date.

The Ohio Ballot Board will convene at a later date to approve the final language that will accompany each issue in the fall.  The 2017 General Election will be held on Tuesday, November 7, 2017.
