Secretary Husted outlines key dates & deadlines for upcoming Presidential Election
COLUMBUS - Ohio Secretary of State Jon Husted today announced absentee voting for military and overseas voters begins tomorrow, Saturday, September 24, 2016 for the upcoming Presidential Election.
Military voters who have not yet registered to vote or submitted a request for an absentee ballot may still do so by visiting OhioMilitaryVotes.com. Overseas voters can visit OhioVoterPassport.com. There they can download the Federal Post Card Application, register to vote and request an absentee ballot, read through frequently asked questions, track the status of their mailed ballot and sign up for future election reminders via email and social media. All voters can also contact their county board of elections directly for more information.

A full list of candidates, including write-in candidates, for President and Vice President, U.S. Senator, Justices of the Ohio Supreme Court, Members of Congress, Members of the Ohio General Assembly, Judges of the Court of Appeals and Members of the State Board of Education is available for on the Secretary of State's Website.
Candidates for local office are certified by the individual county boards of elections. Contact information for the 88 county boards is available online.
Absentee Voting by Mail and In-Person
All Ohio voters may begin voting on October 12, 2016 (first day after the close of registration) both in-person and by mail-in absentee ballot. For more information, visit MyOhioVote.com.
Register to Vote or Update Your Address
The deadline to register to vote in the 2016 Presidential Election is October 11, 2016 (30 days before the election). Voters who need to update their address also have until October 11th and can use the online change of address tool. Both downloadable registration forms and the online change of address tool are available at MyOhioVote.com.
The online Voter Toolkit is a one-stop location for all necessary voting information. Ohio voters can visit MyOhioVote.com/VoterToolkit to check their voter registration status, find their polling location, view their sample ballot and track their absentee ballot.
