ELECTION ADVISORY: Tomorrow is the OH-08 Special Democratic Congressional Primary Election

185 absentee ballots remain outstanding

COLUMBUS - Ohio Secretary of State Jon Husted today announced 667 voters have requested absentee ballots and 482 ballots have been cast in the Special Democratic Primary Election for the 8th Congressional District.

• 667 – Number of absentee ballot applications received.

• 482 – Number of absentee ballots cast.

o 294– Absentee ballots cast in person.

o 188 – Absentee ballots cast by mail.

The Eighth Congressional district is composed of Butler, Clark, Darke, Mercer, Miami and Preble Counties. A congressional district map can be found here.

Absentee Voting by Mail

Absentee ballots must be postmarked by September 12th and received by the voter’s board of elections by the 10th day after the election. Voters who have not yet returned their completed ballot may still return it in-person to their board of elections by the close of the polls tomorrow, 7:30 p.m.
