COLUMBUS – Ohio Secretary of State Jon Husted will travel tomorrow to the University of Dayton’s Helix Innovation Center in celebration of its Grand Opening. The Helix Innovation Center will be utilized for research alongside industry partner, Emerson Climate Technologies.
The center will employ 30-50 people and focus on the heating, ventilation, air conditioning and refrigeration industries while providing hands-on experiences for engineering students at the University of Dayton. Emerson Climate Technologies invested $35 million into the 40,000-square-foot facility.
Secretary Husted holds both a Bachelor’s degree and Master’s degree from the University of Dayton in 1989 and received All-American Defensive Back honors as a member of the 1989 Division III National Championship football team.
