Ohio Secretary of State Jon Husted Applauds Passage of New Business Fee Cut Legislation in Ohio House
COLUMBUS – Ohio Secretary of State Jon Husted today commended Speaker Cliff Rosenberger (R-Clarksville), his leadership team and the members of the Ohio House of Representatives on their unanimous passage of House Bill 3, priority legislation sponsored by State Representatives Tim Derickson (R-Oxford) and Mark Romanchuk (R-Ontario) that will make it easier and less expensive to start a business in Ohio.
“We cut costs and improved services, now we want to pass the savings on to our customers,” Secretary Husted said. “Ohio is already a great place to start a company, but if we want to be the best we all have to do our part to make the state’s business climate better.”
House Bill 3 and the companion legislation recently passed by the Ohio Senate, Senate Bill 26, will cut new business filing fees by 21 percent. You can read more about Secretary Husted’s efforts get this success dividend into law here.
