Ohio Secretary of State Jon Husted to Testify Before Congressional Committee on Maintaining Voter Rolls
Will address implications recent presidential executive actions on immigration may have on the integrity of elections.

COLUMBUS – Ohio Secretary of State Jon Husted will testify during a joint hearing of the U.S. House Subcommittees on National Security and Healthcare, Benefits & Administrative Rules at 2:00 p.m. on Thursday, February 12, 2015, in room 2154 of the Rayburn House Office Building.

Secretary Husted will address the increased potential that non-citizens may illegally register to vote as a result of the President’s Immigration Accountability Executive Actions expanding access to the types of valid forms of identification used to register to vote. Secretary Husted recently sent President Barack Obama a letter raising these concerns and outlining a workable solution.

The Secretary will be available to speak with reporters in attendance immediately following the hearing in room 2154 of the Rayburn House Office Building.

The event will be streamed live online here.
