More than 650,000 Ohio voters have requested absentee ballots
COLUMBUS – Ohio Secretary of State Jon Husted today announced that on the eve of the start of early voting for the November 4th General Election, more than 650,000 voters have already requested an absentee ballot.
2014 General Election by the Numbers
- 657,211 – Number of absentee ballot applications received as of Friday.
- 6.3 million – Number of absentee ballot applications sent out to Ohio voters. A supplemental mailing will go out this week to voters who registered or updated their information after August 1st.
- Four weeks – Amount of time available to vote in person prior to Election Day in Ohio (includes two Saturdays and a Sunday).
- 174,000 – Number of voters who have updated their address online at MyOhioVote.com.*
*Today marks the last day to register to vote or update voter registrations prior for the November 4, 2014 General Election. All boards of elections and the Secretary of State’s office are open until 9:00 p.m. to assist Ohio voters.
