COLUMBUS – Secretary of State Jon Husted today certified the official results for the 2014 May Primary, which are available online here.

“I commend the work done by our state’s elections officials and roughly 40,000 poll workers during the May Primary,” Secretary Husted said. “We must now turn our attention toward preparing for the upcoming August 5th Special Election and the November 4th General Election to ensure those elections run as smoothly.”

Under Ohio law, county boards of elections must complete their official canvas of an election no later than the 21st day after Election Day, which was May 27th for the May 6th Primary. The Secretary of State then has 10 days from the date all results are received from the boards to certify the votes.
