Secretary of State Husted to Visit Ashtabula County TUESDAY to Honor Long-Time Poll Workers & Join Chamber of Commerce on Tour of Medical Center
COLUMBUS – Secretary of State Jon Husted will visit Ashtabula County on Tuesday, April 15 to honor the service of two long-time poll workers. Later he will join the Ashtabula Chamber of Commerce on a tour of the Ashtabula County Medical Center.
In November of last year, Democrat Jean Vendetti and Republican Lois Clark were among only four individuals out of approximately 40,000 precinct elections officials across the state to be recognized as part of the Secretary of State’s annual “Red Carpet Award” for their dedication to running good elections in their communities. Each has worked at Ashtabula County polling locations for more than 30 years. While at the Board of Elections on Tuesday, Secretary Husted will have the opportunity to formally present the certificates and thank Vendetti and Clark personally.
Secretary Husted will also be joining members of the Ashtabula County Chamber of Commerce to tour the Ashtabula County Medical Center – the county’s largest private employer.
Both events are open to members of the media.
