Prepayment Accounts
For our customers who submit filings frequently, a Prepayment Account will help reduce bank charges by decreasing the number of checks written for filings with our office.
The Prepayment Account allows you to write one check and deposit it in your Prepayment Account for a volume of filings to be submitted in the future. In addition, we provide the ability to track the Prepayment Account detailed tracking of account activity, deposits, filings processed and current balance through the Internet, updated as soon as transactions are recorded.
If you are a frequent filer with the Secretary of State’s office, and are interested in applying for a Prepayment Account, you can access the forms and information necessary to apply for and use the account.
As highlighted in the documents, it is necessary to have an E-mail address for corresponding with Business Services, and Internet access to view your account activity. If after reading the information and reviewing the forms, you have any questions, please e-mail us. If you would like a return phone call, please provide a phone number.
If you would like to signup for a Prepayment Account, please complete and sign the Application (XLS) and the Contract (PDF) and submit them with the initial deposit (minimum of $500). Prepayment forms and deposits can be taken to the Client Service Center, 180 East Broad Street, Ground Floor, Columbus, Ohio, or mailed to:
