SECRETARY OF STATE HUSTED HONORS NORTHWEST OHIO BOARD OF ELECTIONS OFFICIALS TOM WOLFRUM AND DAN WAGNER

Secretary of State Jon Husted, center, presents Dan Wagner, left, and Tom Wolfrum, right, with a commendation at the Defiance County Board of Elections on Monday, March 19, 2012.
COLUMBUS – Secretary of State Jon Husted recently presented Tom Wolfrum and Dan Wagner, two devoted Defiance County precinct elections officials (PEO) with the “Red Carpet Award.” Presented quarterly, the award recognizes the outstanding service and dedication of PEOs to their local communities. Mr. Wolfrum and Mr. Wagner have nearly 13 years of combined service at the polls, Wolfrum with seven years and Wagner with six years.
“Tom and Dan are valuable assets to the Board of Elections,” Secretary Husted said. “I thank them for their dedicated service to the voters of Defiance County.”
Mr. Wolfrum and Mr. Wagner have served as PEOs for the Defiance County Board of Elections in the same vote center. Wagner serves as the Republican PEO, while Wolfrum serves as the Democratic PEO.
In 2008, Dan and Tom started participating in the Logic and Accuracy Testing for the voting machines. This systematic pre-election testing for every single ballot style and every component of voting system is a key obligation of election preparation. The testing is done to demonstrate that the ballot is accurate and that votes cast will be properly tabulated.
