Notary Commission
Welcome to the Ohio Notary Public Commission, a division of the Office of the Secretary of State.
The Notary Commission maintains records of all registered notaries in Ohio. On this site, you can find information on the duties and requirements of notaries in Ohio, as well as guidelines for newly commissioned notaries public. However, the Notary Public Commission cannot answer questions about notarial practices. The office cannot provide legal advice or opinions about how a notary public performs his or her duties. If you have questions about actions by a notary public, ask your local bar association, a private attorney, or a court in the appropriate jurisdiction.
The commission offers an information search for notaries. This search offers details about all commissioned notaries public in the state of Ohio.
