Ohio Military Votes Update: September 6, 2013
It has now been two years since we launched the Military Ready-to-Vote program (MRV).
Since that time, we have seen some great progress:
- My office received more than 2,400 FPCAs from military and overseas Ohioans all around the world, including from six United States Navy Ships!
- We’ve worked with the Ohio Army and Air National Guard to ensure that voting information is included in all pre-deployment workups. In addition, we regularly work with all service branches in distributing military voting resources.
- Ohio was designated an “All Star State” by the Military Voter Protection Project for our efforts to help military voters. The Association of the U.S. Army also recognized my office for our work in this area.
I am very proud of what we’ve accomplished and am committed to continuing our efforts to make sure Ohio troops have the information and resources they need to vote no matter where they are in the world.
If you have any suggestions on how we can make this program better, or can share with us how MRV has helped you, please let us know. We would love to hear your story and receive your input.
Thank you for your service to our state and nation. As always, please contact me at OMV@OhioSecretaryofState.gov if I can be of assistance to you, and be sure to check out www.OhioMilitaryVotes.com
