The November General Election is coming soon! Whether you are serving in our military or living outside of the United States, you can access all of the information and materials you need in order to successfully participate in voting.
Added Benefits for Military and Overseas Voters:
Because of your circumstances, you have some special provisions.
- You will be sent your ballot 45 days before Election Day.
- You can receive your ballot electronically. (Remember that you must always mail your completed ballot back.)
- You get a tracking number that will let you check the status of your completed ballot all the way back to your board of elections.
Ohio Programs Just For You:
If you are serving in our military, the Military Ready-to-Vote (MRV) program is designed just for you. At www.OhioMilitaryVotes.com, military voters can request an MRV brochure, track the status of your completed ballot and learn more about the election process.
For Ohioans who are residing outside the United States, you now have access to the new Ohio Voter Passport (OVP) program. Check it out at www.OhioVoterPassport.com.
Mark Your Calendar
Saturday, September 22nd: This is the first day that military and overseas voter’s ballots are sent out. If you have sent in a Federal Post Card Application Form (FPCA) which registers you to vote and receive your absentee ballot, your ballot is prepared and sent on this day. It is important to get your FPCA form in quickly so you have the maximum amount of time to receive and return your Ohio ballot.
Tuesday, October 9th: This is the voter registration deadline. If you are not registered in Ohio by this day, you will NOT be able to vote in the Ohio November General Election! If you haven’t registered and requested your ballot, you can do so by following the simple steps below.
Completing the FPCA Form:
- Access the FPCA form here.
- Fill it out, print it and sign it.
- Send it back to the Ohio Secretary of State’s office.
