Three years ago, I started the Ohio Business Profile program to help highlight some of the many businesses that call Ohio home. Looking back over the 236 featured businesses, there is no doubt that we all should be proud of the work they do to help employ nearly 25,000 of our friends and family, give back to their communities and make the Buckeye State a great place to live.
Each month, we receive suggestions from business leaders around Ohio for companies that are creating interesting products, offering outstanding service, or have been dedicated to operating in Ohio - in some cases, for many generations. Representing more than 25 industries, from manufacturing to farming, and ranging from women-owned to minority-owned, for-profit to non-profit and small mom-and-pop shops to Fortune 500 companies, the businesses featured in this program are a true reflection of the outstanding business community we have in Ohio.
As we work to improve Ohio’s overall business climate, the demonstrated successes of these entrepreneurs can be one of the best marketing tools we have to encourage others to invest in Ohio, creating jobs and economic activity. Take the time to learn more about these businesses and, most importantly, to help support local companies like these. We can all play a part in helping make Ohio a great place to do business.
Do you know of a company that should be featured? Help us spread the word and submit them for consideration as a future Ohio Business Profile.
