Secretary of State Husted To Speak at Grand Opening of $53 million General Electric and University of Dayton Aviation Research and Development Center
COLUMBUS – Secretary of State Jon Husted will speak at the grand opening of the new $53 million General Electric and University of Dayton Electrical Power Integrated Systems Center (EPISCenter) on Friday, December 13, 2013. The new aviation and development center will provide collaborative research on the campus of the University of Dayton as well as stimulate economic growth in Ohio. In April 2011, Secretary Husted attended the groundbreaking of the EPISCenter and looks forward to seeing the completed project.
The new facility is believed to be the only one of its kind due to its capability to simulate and test complete electrical power systems in airplanes, and has the potential to employ 150-200 researchers in the Miami Valley over the next five years. For more information, visit www.ge.com/aviation.
