Secretary of State Husted Presenting Red Carpet Award to Recognize Efforts of a Montgomery County Polling Location Supervisor
Columbus – Ohio Secretary of State Jon Husted will travel to Dayton, Ohio, tomorrow to attend an event at the Montgomery County Board of Elections honoring the hard work of polling location supervisor Charity Betts. Ms. Betts has served as a polling location supervisor since 2010, prior to that serving as a presiding judge. She is one of only two recipients, out of the thousands of poll workers, to receive the Precinct Election Official Red Carpet Award this year. Ms. Betts supervised four precincts on Election Day November 2012.
The Precinct Election Official Red Carpet Award is given out by the Secretary of State’s office and recognizes the outstanding service and dedication of poll workers throughout Ohio for their work in helping to administer elections in their local communities. We work to keep good poll workers, in part, by recognizing their outstanding service and Ms. Betts is no exception.
Media are encouraged and welcome to attend the event.
