STATEMENT FROM OHIO SECRETARY OF STATE JON HUSTED
Columbus – Regarding today’s decision by U.S. District Court Judge Gregory Frost to deny a temporary restraining order in Fitrakis v. Husted, all of the following may be attributed to Secretary of State Jon Husted:
“This suit was completely baseless and caused unnecessary concern and confusion.
“All Ohioans’ votes are tabulated at the local level and separately reported to the Secretary of State on Election Night through a secure connection.
“The system is not only safe, it is much improved since the last presidential election. As the world watches Ohio tonight, they will benefit from more accurate and timely reports of voting results.”
