5/15/2012 Secretary of State Husted Releases April Filing Figures for New Businesses Secretary of State Jon Husted today announced that 7,765 new entities filed to do business in Ohio in April. These numbers are up compared to April 2011, in which 7,632 new entities filed with the Secretary of State.

5/15/2012 Secretary of State Husted to Visit Staber Industries Inc. and Present Ohio Business Profile Commendation Secretary of State Jon Husted will visit Staber Industries Inc. in Groveport, Ohio Wednesday, May 16, 2012. The Secretary will tour the plant and present the company with an Ohio Business Profile Commendation.

3/20/2012 Secretary of State Husted Releases February Filing Figures for New Businesses Secretary of State Jon Husted today announced that 7,656 new entities filed to do business in Ohio in February. These numbers are up compared to February 2011, in which 6,330 new entities filed with the Secretary of State.

3/20/2012 Secretary of State Husted Honors Northwest Ohio Board of Elections Officials Tom Wolfrum and Dan Wagner Secretary of State Jon Husted recently presented Tom Wolfrum and Dan Wagner, two devoted Defiance County precinct elections officials (PEO) with the “Red Carpet Award.” Presented quarterly, the award recognizes the outstanding service and dedication of PEOs to their local communities. Mr. Wolfrum and Mr. Wagner have nearly 13 years of combined service at the polls, Wolfrum with seven years and Wagner with six years.

As part of the total number of signatures needed, petitioners must also collect signatures from at least 44 of Ohio’s 88 counties, and within each of those counties, collect enough signatures equal to five percent of the total vote cast for governor in the most recent gubernatorial election, 2010.
