9/21/2012 Secretary of State Jon Husted: Ballots for Military & Overseas Voters To Go Out Tomorrow Under state and federal law, county boards must mail, e-mail or fax absentee ballots to registered military and overseas voters who have requested them on Saturday, September 22 -- 45 days ahead of the general election. From there on, boards will continue to send military and overseas ballots as they receive requests and in the manner requested. While ballots can be sent electronically, completed ballots must be signed and returned by mail.

9/18/2012 Secretary of State Jon Husted: More Than 484,000 Absentee Ballot Applications Received by Ohio Counties So Far Secretary of State Jon Husted today announced that as of Friday, September 14, an estimated 484,000 absentee ballot applications had been received by county boards of elections statewide.
