STATEMENT FROM OHIO SECRETARY OF STATE JON HUSTED
COLUMBUS – Today petitions seeking a referendum on House Bill 319 were dropped off, but will not be accepted by the Ohio Secretary of State’s office. The following may be attributed to Ohio Secretary of State Jon Husted:
“House Bill 319, as passed by the Ohio General Assembly and signed by the Governor, contained an appropriation and took effect immediately. It is therefore not subject to referendum.”
