Secretary of State Husted Announces July Ohio Business Profiles

SECRETARY OF STATE HUSTED ANNOUNCES JULY OHIO BUSINESS PROFILES

COLUMBUS – As part of an ongoing effort to recognize the impact of Ohio businesses, Secretary of State Jon Husted today announced the four companies being featured as part of the Secretary of State’s Ohio Business Profile for July.

“This month’s featured companies are important members of their local communities and of our state,” Secretary Husted said. “Not only do their products help Ohioans display and celebrate their American pride, but their products are also prime examples of Ohio ingenuity at work.”

This July we’re profiling Ohio businesses who create products that make us proud to call America home! Enjoy a game of baseball with equipment from Phoenix Bat Company or a fresh slice of apple pie from Gardner Pie Company. Find the perfect flag to display your patriotism at Annin or pick up a custom Verdin bell and let freedom ring! If there’s something that makes you feel extra patriotic this month, chances are it’s made right here in Ohio.

The Annin Flag Company manufactures American flags in Coshocton, Ohio.
Specializing in creating and manufacturing wooden bats, the Phoenix Bat Company operates out of Plain City, Ohio.
Akron, Ohio’s Gardner Pie Company currently operates under its 3rd generation of family leadership.
And, the Verdin Company in Cincinnati produces high quality cast bronze bells and clocks.

The Ohio Business Profile was launched by Secretary Husted to raise awareness about companies registered and doing business in Ohio that are creating interesting products, offering outstanding service, contributing to their local communities and employing Ohioans in the process. Each month, a handful of diverse businesses linked together by a common theme are featured on the Secretary of State’s website atwww.OhioBusinessProfile.com. Here, Ohioans may also submit companies they feel are deserving of recognition in future months.

Secretary Husted’s office also releases a monthly report of new business filings in Ohio. Recent data has shown that the number of newly-registered businesses in Ohio is up for the first half of the year as compared to the same timeframe last year.
