Webinars
In an effort to provide additional educational opportunities for Boards of Elections the Secretary of State Elections Division began offering Webinars in January 2010 at no cost to BOEs. The participants will receive the appropriate credit hour(s) for each live Webinar attended toward the completion of their SOS training hour requirement, when applicable.
A Webinar or “Web seminar” is an online visual presentation designed to facilitate communication between a small number of presenters and a remote audience using the Internet and their local phone service. Webinars are an efficient and cost effective tool for training because there is no need to plan travel time or absorb the expense of travel. In order to participate, BOEs will need a computer and an internet connection to view the webinar; and a phone to hear the presentation and ask questions.
If you have questions regarding this program, please contact Laura Pietenpol, Curriculum Development and Training Specialist, at lpietenp@sos.state.oh.us; or (614) 466-6826.
