Wright-Patterson Air Force Base
With more than 22,000 employees, Wright-Patterson Air Force Base, located near Dayton, is one of the top employers in the state. Wright-Patterson is home to the Air Force Research Laboratory and the National Museum of the United States Air Force. At the base, weapons and flight systems are tested and modified. Other missions include logistics management, research and development, education and flight operations.
In 1995, the Dayton Agreement, a peace agreement that put an end to more than three years of war in Bosnia, was signed at Wright-Patterson.
