What do you like about doing business in Ohio?

This is my home state, located in a wonderful area of Circleville. Taxes are relatively low and cost of living is relatively low. This has been a good area to find employees and customers.

Description of business:

Goodwin's Family Restaurant was started in 1979 by Art and Janet Goodwin. The original building has been enlarged twice and is presently being remodeled.

Goodwin's was a state award winner and a national finalist in the National Restaurant Association Good Neighbor Award. This award was in recognition of the county-wide high school scholarship program offered by Goodwin's. The scholarship program has been modified to benefit employees of Goodwin's and three employees benefited this year.

Over the past few years, Goodwin's has been serving a buffet and leftovers have been sent to a mission church in Columbus. The primary food sent to the church is chicken and the church has become known as the chicken church.
