November 2011 Profiles

This November we are proud to salute some of Ohio’s veteran-owned businesses. Ohio ranks 7th among all states in the country in terms of the number of veteran-owned businesses, with over 88,500 (U.S. Census Bureau). Military veteran business owners represent a diverse assortment of industries in all regions of the state and provide the same leadership and commitment to their surrounding communities they learned while proudly serving their country. It is our distinct honor and privilege to profile just a few of these businesses during the same month all Ohioans honor their service and sacrifice at Veterans Day.
Bookmarx Bookstore of Steubenville provides quality, hard-to-find, out-of-print and unusual books and VHS tapes. Grand Aire Inc. in Lucas County is one of the top 5 air charter providers in North America. Cincinnati’s Transducers Direct LLC manufactures transducers, sensors and industrial components. At The Reserves Network in Fairview Park, you can find assistance in staffing, on-site staffing programs and payroll servicing. Armada Ltd. in Powell provides security and emergency preparedness assistance for government agencies, private businesses and schools. For precision machining and grinding services, contact Fredon Corporation of Mentor. And for the latest in bomber jackets, khakis and sunglass apparel, visit US Wings Inc. in Hudson, Ohio.
