Safety is a serious matter to Derreck Smedley and Derrick Buford, the owners of Executive Security Group, Inc. Since 2008, the U.S. Navy veterans have been providing security services to the Cleveland community through armed and unarmed security, consulting, BCII and FBI electronic fingerprinting, private investigation, background and employment investigations, and security equipment.

The company is also a certified Veteran-Owned Business through the U.S. Department of Veteran Affairs. The owners want to expand outside the Cleveland region and gain licensure in six more states within the next two years. Executive Security Group, Inc. also is looking to sign a contract with the government to extend its services.
