What do you like about doing business in Ohio? Ohio offers a diverse and thriving market, which supports our product sales. It is truly amazing to see local businesses supporting one another. Our retail accounts are proud to offer their customers products which are not only “Made in the U.S.A.” but made right here in their own backyard!
Description of business: We combined our love for our dogs, and all animals alike, with our entrepreneurial passion to take CollarDoos from a hobby to a thriving business. Our products are uniquely designed to fit any standard dog collar and all products are hand-crafted by skilled artisans in Columbus, Ohio. We are proud to have partnered with a number of pet rescue and charitable organizations in Ohio and across the country, including the Toledo Area Humane Society & PAWS-Powell Animal Welfare Society of Columbus, donating product and dollars to support adoptable dogs in their journey to finding their forever homes. Our designated Great Dane mascot, Scooby, is a trained Therapy Dog (registered with Therapy Dogs International) and we gladly volunteer our time and services to libraries, hospitals, nursing homes and schools. CollarDoos participates in a number of local community festivals and events throughout the year, including Artisan Sunday in the Short North, Paws in the Plaza in Gahanna, Fashion Rocks Columbus, Wag! Fest in Hilliard, and the Cleveland Pet Expo, to spread the word about our locally-owned small business. We are also looking forward to an upcoming feature with Life + Dog Magazine this winter.
The CollarDoos products are featured in over 45 retail locations (and counting) in the U.S. and Canada, including locally owned Ohio Stores: Three Dog Bakery-Short North, Columbus; Mutts & Co.-Dublin & New Albany; The Canine Center-Westerville; Captivating Canines-Uptown Westerville; The Grateful Dog Bakery-North Ridgeville; Simply Vague-The Mall at Tuttle Crossing & Polaris Fashion Place.
