December 2012 Profiles

This December we are profiling businesses that make Ohio a fun and unique place to be this winter season with our "Winter Wonderland" theme. Mad River Mountain, in Logan County, recently celebrated its 50th season in Ohio and is home to the midwest's #1 terrain park and Olympic snowboarder Louie Vito. Southeastern Ohio Symphony Orchestra, in Muskingum County, offers a free holiday pops concert and helps introduce children and the surrounding community to the wonders of orchestral instruments and music. Ma & Pa's Horse Drawn Sleigh and Carriage Rides offers these winter adventures in Geauga County, and don't forget their maple coffee and homemade baked goods. EnterTRAINment Junction, in Butler County, boasts the world's largest indoor train display and is a one-of-a-kind entertainment center for families and hobby train enthusiasts alike. Pine Tree Barn and Farms, in Wayne County, planted their first tree in 1952 and two generations later is still one of Ohio's oldest and largest family-owned tree farms. OhioHealth Chiller Ice Rinks, in Franklin County, is the "Coolest Place for Family Fun in Columbus" and has one of the largest adult hockey leagues in the country with more than 160 teams. From winter activities to music, sports to hobbies, and even an old-fashioned sleigh ride or two, Ohio is truly a wonderland of winter fun and a great place to live and visit this holiday season. | | | | | | | | | | | | |
