Ohio Art was founded in Northwest Ohio in 1908 as a manufacturer of pictures frames. In 1912, Ohio Art moved from Archbold, OH to Bryan, OH. Because the picture frames were stamped from metal, Ohio Art then started using its manufacturing capabilities to make metal toys like tea sets and tops.
In 1960, Ohio Art introduced the world famous Etch A Sketch which has sold more than 150 million pieces since its introduction. Today, Ohio Art has two main businesses including being one of the world's premier metal lithographers as well as a toy division that markets beloved brands such as Etch A Sketch, nanoblock, K's Kids and Doodle Sketch.
