April 2012 Profiles
This April we are profiling companies throughout the state that specialize in Ohio’s number one industry – agriculture. Buckeye Harvesting LLC in Clinton County offers custom grain harvesting from Texas to Canada. North Union Farmers Market in Cuyahoga County is a nonprofit organization that operates certified farmers markets in the region. Garman Feed & Supply in Ross County sells grain and fertilizer to farmers across the state. Schmidt Bros. Inc. grows a variety of garden essentials on 14 acres in Lucas County. Laurel Valley Creamery is operated by third- and fourth-generation farmers specializing in cheese production in Gallia County. Bluegrass Farms of Ohio in Fayette County provides soybean exports to location across the globe. These businesses are just a sample of the diverse range of agriculture in our state and show that agribusiness is here to stay in Ohio.
