Campaign Finance Handbook
This Campaign Finance Handbook has been developed to assist all reporting entities navigate the various regulatory paths established by Ohio law. Each of the 17 chapters included herein have been written to discuss specific entity-types or areas of campaign finance activity and can serve as a map for the reader to understand each area of regulation and reporting applicable to their circumstance. Applicable sections of state law, as well as all relevant administrative rules, are included in the Handbook. Additionally, the forms and instructions for filing campaign finance reports in paper form are provided. Further resources include filing calendars and a current contribution limit chart.
It is hoped this Handbook helps in making the requirements for registration and reporting understandable to every reader. Feel free to give feedback on the Handbook by e-mailing the Secretary of State's Campaign Finance section.
