Expedite Service

Mail-in expedited filings may be processed within 24-48 hours of receipt. The secretary of state offers Super Expedite filing for in-person clients. Once received by the Secretary of State, all expedited requests will be processed with priority. If there are discrepancies in mailed-in filings, rejection letters will be mailed.

A business day is noted as 8 a.m. to 5 p.m. Monday through Friday, excluding national holidays and the day after Thanksgiving. The fees for each filing should be included as well as the appropriate fee for expedite service (see chart below).

When filing for expedite service via mail, it is suggested that you attach a correspondence slip and Form #593. The cover letter will indicate that expedite service has been requested. Form #593 is a correspondence slip that will guarantee the certificate and/or documents are returned to the correct locations. All corporate filings can be expedited except good standing certificates, UCC filings and copy requests.

If for any reason The Secretary of State is inundated with expedite requests, they reserve the right to limit the request to one filing per customer per day. The Secretary of State also reserves the right to extend the time period for expedite services when circumstances such as computer failure or acts of nature prevent such filing.

Super Expedite Service

The secretary of state's office now offers Super Expedite service for in-person filings.

With three levels of service, business filings may be processed in as little as four business hours.

Super Expedite is only available for walk-in filings submitted at the Client Service Center. Filings submitted after 1:00 p.m. will be available the next business day.

In the event of a filing containing an error, the customer will be notified. If a filing is re-submitted by 1:00 p.m., the filing will be processed by 5:00 p.m. that day.
